PARCELNOTICE / GUIDES
Prepare engineering project letters
Give property owners a clear explanation of the project, the current phase, and the person they can contact.
1. Match the letter to the current phase
Use an engineering project introduction for the project purpose and information link, a testing or investigation appointment to propose a visit, or a project schedule update when dates or activities change.
2. Fill in the relevant details
The introduction asks for services, purpose, area, and a project link. An appointment letter asks for the proposed time, activities, and access arrangements. A schedule update asks what changed and the current dates. Edit the wording to match what your team is actually proposing.
3. Keep statutory notices separate
The existing NC pre-condemnation entry draft remains available for an applicable condemnor project. G.S. 40A-11 addresses entry before condemnation and requires written notice to the owner and the party in possession. An owner list from tax records alone may not identify everyone who must receive notice. The draft retains your supplied “the Town” wording; adapt that wording for the sender.
4. Review and download
Check the recipients, project facts, and complete merged wording before downloading. ParcelNotice prepares documents; it does not determine authority, calculate a legally sufficient delivery date, or establish permission to enter.
