PARCELNOTICE / PRIVACY
Your documents stay in your browser.

Parcel selections and documents
Imported CSVs, selected parcel records, recipient edits, project details, logos, signature images, and generated PDFs are processed in your browser. ParcelNotice does not upload this information to its measurement or inquiry database. The tool does not save your active project on the server. Download your files before closing the tab.
Signature images are decoded and held only in the current browser tab; they are not uploaded, logged, placed in browser storage, or retained in site records. Reloading the page clears the image. A downloaded PDF embeds your signature image, so keep and share that file accordingly. Image placement does not provide a signing certificate or an identity-verification service.
Map and parcel providers
Live searches and map selections send search terms, selected county, or geographic coordinates to NC OneMap. Map tiles are requested from OpenStreetMap. These providers receive the network information needed to respond, including your IP address, and apply their own terms and privacy practices. NC OneMap terms · OpenStreetMap privacy policy.
Optional traffic measurement
Measurement starts only if you choose “Allow measurement.” Declining does not change the document tools. We also respect the browser’s Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal.
We use a random browser identifier, retained for up to 180 days, and a visit identifier that expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. These are held in this site’s local browser storage, not an advertising cookie. Your choice is remembered on this browser. Identifiers are hashed before they are stored on the server.
Events contain a page path, time, and event type. A completed document event also contains the output format and recipient count. A sponsor click includes the link placement. We do not collect search terms, URL query strings, names, addresses, PINs, project text, logos, signature images, PDF contents, referrers, or device fingerprints in these events.
Reports count browsers, not verified people. Multiple devices or cleared browser storage can create separate visitors. Declining measurement and blocking scripts reduce the measured totals. Demonstration downloads and signed-in owner activity are excluded. A completed batch means a file was generated and offered for download; it does not confirm printing or mailing.
Measurement records are retained for up to 180 days. Expired records are removed when the service next processes a page view, inquiry, or owner report. Use to change your choice. Declining removes the local measurement identifiers and stops future events; previously recorded events age out under the retention schedule.
Optional email update requests
The separate signup form stores only the email you enter, your explicit consent text and version, the form location, and the request time. These records are private to the site owner and are not shared with sponsors or linked to parcel data, document contacts, signatures, or measurement identifiers. Signup requests are unverified; confirmation emails and newsletter delivery are not connected.
We retain the request until you withdraw it or ask for deletion. Unsubscribe here. Opt-out removes the readable email from the signup database and future exports. A secret-keyed hash and opt-out record remain to prevent accidental re-enrollment; a repeated signup does not undo an opt-out. The owner must also honor withdrawals in any previously exported copy or future email service.
Contact and sponsorship inquiries
When you submit a form, we store your name, email, optional organization, message, inquiry type, and submission time in a private inbox. The site owner uses these details to review and respond to your inquiry. They are not published, sold, or added to a marketing list. Inquiry records expire after 12 months and are removed on the next cleanup described above.
Sponsor applications and hosted payments
Sponsor applications store contact details, business name, ad destination, artwork, selected placement, review decisions, and campaign dates. Unapproved artwork is private. Approved artwork, business name, ad description, and destination become public only after confirmed payment. Application and transaction records are retained as needed to administer campaigns, resolve disputes, and maintain business records; contact the owner about deletion.
A private receipt link gives access to an application’s status and payment step. Keep it private. Stripe receives the information needed for checkout after approval, including contact email, application reference, and price. Card and bank-account details are entered on Stripe’s hosted pages; ParcelNotice stores payment references and status, not those financial details. Stripe privacy policy.
Banner selection uses campaign-level scheduling counters to balance the shared rotation. These counters contain no visitor identifier, parcel information, or browsing history and are not verified impression counts. They operate independently of optional traffic measurement.
With visitor measurement consent, sponsor-click records include the campaign identifier and current tool step. No advertising tracking pixels or third-party ad scripts are embedded. Following a sponsor link opens the advertiser’s website, where its own privacy practices apply.
Hosting and abuse prevention
The hosting platform processes requests and may maintain operational logs. To limit automated abuse, the application temporarily stores a secret-keyed hash derived from a network address and time window, with a request count. It does not store raw IP addresses in its own database. Rate-limit records expire within about two hours and are deleted during the next cleanup. This is not a promise of network anonymity.
Questions or deletion requests
Contact the site owner for privacy questions or to request deletion of an inquiry. Include enough information to identify your message, without adding unnecessary personal information.
